Description – An early American crime film that follows a gangster named Blizzard whose legs were mistakenly amputated after an accident.  Blizzard becomes a vicious criminal, and eventual mob leader in the San Francisco underworld.

Watch Blizzard as he plots a twisted revenge against the doctor who amputated his legs.

NOTABLE:  This was a breakout role for Lon Chaney and helped to secure his place as one of our greatest character actors.

Against studio wishes, Chaney chose to simulate the leg amputations by having his legs tied back and wearing a very painful apparatus.  In his effort for realism, Chaney suffered permanent damage to his leg muscles.
